From a Mickel Therapy perspective anxiety is a sign that ‘primary emotions’ that arise in the core emotional mid brain (independently of thought) have been pushed down in our body. Imagine a pot in our stomach as the emotions stack up over time, the last few emotions that mean the pot overflows, triggers the anxiety, as the body’s way of warning us that something needs to be done.

How can Mickel Therapy help?

Mickel Therapy uses a range of tools to examine all the emotions in the pot, not just the ones that trigger the anxiety. By doing this, we can empty the pot & therefore the anxiety no longer needs to remain present.
