When I started Mickel Therapy, I was in the middle of a bad ‘set back’. After 4 years of suffering with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I had tried everything.
Some things worked temporarily but then I would have another set back and be right back where I started. I felt hopeless. I heard about the therapy and I thought, ‘what have I got to lose?’. At first I was very sceptical and I even after the first few sessions I was still questioning whether Mickel Therapy would help me.
Around half way through my arranged sessions I decided that even if I was sceptical, I would give it 100%. I am still on the journey, working on the keys and learning to deal with my emotions correctly.
I can safely say that Mickel Therapy has changed my life.
When I started I didn’t sleep, I was taking three medications for body pain and depression, I was signed off work therefore stuck in my bedroom resting all the time, I was unable to look after my 1 year old son, I rarely went out, I had no enjoyment for myself and I constantly watched my fitbit tracker to monitor my activity to make sure I wasn’t doing ‘too much’.
Even when I was able to work, I found my job stressful and very fast paced. I felt like I was just keeping my head above water.
Only two months after my first session, I am working my full contacted hours, taking care of my son every afternoon, I only wake up if woken by crying (if only Mickel Therapy could solve toddler sleep regression and teething!), I’m not taking any medication, I am enjoying hobbies and social time, enjoying exercise with no fear of a set back and even enjoying work.
Before I knew I was a people pleaser and I would exhaust myself by setting myself high expectations but Mickel Therapy has given me practical tools to actually change habits of a life time. I thought I couldn’t afford the sessions but Saul helped me with a payment plan. I didn’t have disposable income whilst paying for the sessions but I prioritised me and my health and I would do it all over again. It has been truly amazing!
