Dr David Mickel MBChB MRCGP qualified as a Medical Practitioner in 1992 going on to specialise in General Practice in 1996, working full-time in a practice in Elgin, Scotland.
He developed an interest in CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia during this time and frustrated by attempts to treat the conditions went on to develop the process of treatment now known as Mickel Therapy.
In 2002, following the success of this treatment, he resigned from his NHS position as General Practitioner in order to commit fully to treating sufferers. He currently provides a private therapy service in Elgin treating CFS/ME and Fibromyalgia, IBS and other ‘Energy Disorders' such as IBS, Anxiety and Depression.
Mickel Health Initiatives Ltd now provides international training in the process of Mickel Therapy, two day health seminars as well as lectures in the UK and abroad.
Supervision of all cases is provided by Dr Mickel and his associate Kyle Davies. To ensure quality of treatment clients are urged to ensure that they have a MT number. This will ensure that their case will be closely supervised.
All Mickel Therapists are trained and supervised under Dr Mickel's and Kyle Davies' guidance. They come from many different backgrounds but are all experts in this field. Many of the Mickel Therapists have suffered CFS/ME or Fibromyalgia and have undergone Mickel Therapy themselves prior to training.

Kyle Davies is a Clinical Supervisor and Director with Mickel Health Initiatives Ltd. He has worked closely with Dr David Mickel over the last 2 years and is involved with on-going developments within the company.
Kyle originally qualified as a Chartered Psychologist following completion of BSc in Psychology (University of Wales, Swansea ) and an M.Phil in Applied Psychology (Leicester University). Before joining Dr Mickel and MHI Ltd, he worked in research and management consulting for over 10 years as well as in private practice as an Ericksonian Therapist.
Kyle is currently involved with overseeing the planned research trial to be conducted by independent researchers investigating the efficacy of Mickel Therapy in treating ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia.
